Didn’t complain a bit and the prices were reasonable. The food court has basic servings of cheeseburgers, pizzas and snacks. It’s pretty out in the open so it’s safe for the most part.įood Court- You’ll pass the food court before getting to the actual water park. The locker is an electronic key system you can enter in and out of all the while you’re there. Locker System – It’s a pretty simple system you find in any water park, you change in the bathroom carefully playing a game of ‘don’t step on the lava’ (the lava being the disgusting bacteria ridden floor) and once you’re half naked ready to swim you stand there half naked waiting for people to move out of the way so you can get to your locker. So once the crowd dies down or you’re lucky to find yourself there on an empty day you should be ok for the most part. But that’s more of an environmental complaint and not one toward the actual indoor water park. We had to just stand there and look at other people sit down like a bunch of weirdos. We couldn’t even find a place to sit down. Being the most popular (only) indoor water park around town ,people flock to this little place and it gets super crowded. Being open to the public presents a series of issues, all of them being overcrowding. The Split Rock indoor water park was a big reason I booked a week at the Split Rock resort. If we had not paid thinking we were treating ourselves and were going for a cheap stay knowing what we would get, I would understand, but they advertise this as a luxury top notch and it was a bit like the Shining. The room was recently remodeled, that was accurate, it was livable, and the bed was very comfortable.īut we paid luxury rates for a motel like stay. No coffee or anything in the morning and the restaurant was a ghost town depressing. The pool was dirty, the jacuzzi was broken and not hot.ĥ. I had the number for the front desk and when I called because there were exposed wires in our room, no answer.Ĥ. I can understand the build is old and maintaining a rustic look might be appealing, but it was run down, strange decor.ģ. no security, doors open in multiple doors all over the old building.Ģ. This place is worth heading off the highway. We decided to stay at the "lodge" because it was me and my husband and wanted the "upscale" stay for a romantic weekend. The servings were generous in addition to being delicious. My daughter ordered a stack of pancakes, and despite an serious effort, could only eat half. The pancake was oh-so good and it was more food than I could even finish. The eggs were prepared perfectly and the potatoes were the perfect blend of seasoned and crisp. I ordered eggs over easy, bacon, potatoes, an English muffin and a single blueberry pancake. Crayons on the table showed us they knew what they were doing when it came to feeding kids AND adults alike. The wood paneled restaurant was quaint with laminated placements made by children who recently visited. Our server was quick and we were able to admire Lake Harmony as we waited. he perfect amount of fruit, fluffy, and came alive with a little butter a syrup. the pancakes- both buttermilk and blueberry- were the stuff that you measure all future pancakes by. A lot.īreakfast all day and we popped in around 1p, hungry. We now know it was the Food Gods that intervened and we only wish we lived closer to pay homage. We stumbled upon Piggy's on a total fluke.
